HISTORY OF THE FSS
Florida has a wealth of caves, carved out of the limestone rock which
most of Florida is built on. In order to explore and preserve these
caves, the FSS was organized in 1956. It was the first chapter of
the NSS organized in Florida and the 68th overall. It has been active
since its creation.
